Here's a few interesting tidbits about the new Miss America, 21-year-old, Alyssa Campenella
1. She starred in her first theatre show at age 6.
2. She began modeling at age 16 and is 5' 8.5" tall.
3. Maintained a 4.0 gpa in high school and graduated a year early.
4. She is a history and science buff.
5. In 2004 and 2006 she received a national merit award from the United States Achievement Academy.
7. She loves to play Angry Birds.
8. In 2008 and and 2009, she compted in the Miss New Jersey pagent, placing second and in the top 15, respectively.
9. She is originally from New Jersey, but now resides in Los Angeles and New York.
